2018 YEARLY REPORT
The mission trip this year was BLESSED and BRUTAL at the same time. An uneventful flight [loading at 11;30 PM est] Atlanta to Amsterdam and a quick transfer to a K.L.M. flight to Entebbe, a good motel room with western facilities, and a nice evening at a good restaurant following the usual stop at the Forex Exchange——U.S. Dollars for Uganda Schillings. 3,700 Uganda Schillings per Dollar. The next day was shopping for essentials for the trip. Uganda cellphone, a good fan with battery backup for electricity outages which are frequent ie daily. A good fan is essential to keep malaria hosting mosquitos away, they cannot fly in the air turbulence caused by the fan. Several cases of bottled water because there is no such thing as clean drinking water in Uganda——-all have the potential for Typhoid infection.

TO THE ROAD
First Stop——Lusenke Kayunga
After leaving Entebbe, we got onto Uganda’s first and only four lane expressway and as usual Joshua [driver] steps on the pedal and AWAY WE GO. Soon enough,we turn on to a dirt road not fit for a lizard. The only change is from ruts in the road to Canyon size ruts in the road and onward to Lusenka 30 miles north, jaw clenching and aggravating enough to challenge your will. Surely the great tribulation couldn’t be much worse. Just call this Uganda highway 666!

This humble village Church use to worship beneath a Jack fruit tree, prior to that, under a grass roofed shelter. The owner of that property ask the church to re-locate. My partner, Bishop Bita, wrote a report and sent it to me and we began to raise money for land and to build a Church-house. Click on the link below for that report. Distribution of Native language Bibles
Elder Federisi [front center green gown'] did not receive a Bible three years ago because she could not read. She was very disappointment——not to be dissuaded——-she joined the primary students to learn to read and jumped to the head of her class. She is a hard working Elder in the Church.

Bishop Bita’s property left to him by his father. This is where he plans to retire later in life. The property rolls downward to a stream below. He use to swim in that stream as a boy.
Some of more than two thousand seedling trees distributed 7 years ago donated by a donor from Walkertown North Carolina, U.S.A.
Just a few of those trees as they stand today. They have been planted all over Osia to help push back at the vast problem of deforestation in Eastern Uganda. Millions of trees are harvested for firewood charcoal for cooking. Each recipient has vowed Never to harvest these trees. Thank you Janet B.

Bishop Bita teaching New Testament Christianity. Many of these village people have never been indoctrinated into sound doctrine. This teaching will go on till the Last Trumpet sounds.

Ten young Pastors being tutored by Bishop Bita for the purpose of pushing back on false doctrine, superstitions and lingering witchcraft in remote villages.
On to Bukedea—-the most difficult part of this mission journey.
Seven years ago, my dear friend Pastor Okurut Robert of Bukadedea, e-mailed me concerning a certain desperate widow living in a remote village. She lived in a delapidated old thatch roof mud hut that leaked rain water every time it rained. She,l and the children living with her slept on a polyester piece across the dirt floor. “Extreme poverty” was the only words to describe her situation so we began to raise money with the help of Bishop Lyle Dukes of Woodbridge VA and completed our work of building a brick house which houses this family to this day. We visited her on this mission to Bukedea, 2018.
